I just ordered there smallest boxes. 7x7x6. My mom thinks its too big for jewelry and she says to use bubble mailers instead I prefer the boxes tho..

Didn't know how to do COMP/solds and on most I charged correct shipping on guesstimating it. Then there were times I charge basically and gave it away. But, instead of beating myself up-I looked at it as it found s good home, & that's really all I'm after. I sold from 2002-2008 and back then everything was put on Auction and made some Good returns. When I started back up in 2013-eBay world changed tremendously and I had to learn it all over again. Took me awhile but now I grasp it ( if you have a store Don't Forget to order your Free shipping Supplies it ends Sept 30. Margret I've been binge watching you all night since I woke up early early am. I did fall asleep with one of your videos still on so hopefully you get credit for that. I know photos are one of the quintessential things to be successful. But out of curiosity, did the things sell despite bad photos? How much impact would you say that change has given? I guess good photos increases potential buyers, anything else?

Oh man…I've never sold a knockoff, but I've definitely made all these other mistakes! Especially the shipping ones. Every once in a while when I am running sales on eBay or accepting best offers I still forget I offered free shipping on an item and end up making either pennies for profit, or losing money on the sale! Matter of fact I am implementing some shipping and pricing templates on all my listings right now cause I got sick of messing up on this stuff. Your video was timely!

The last time I sold a few things on EBAY was back in about 2006. I made very little money. I did the "bid" thing. I am thinking about trying it again – money is tight and I have a whole houseful of vintage items I have collected over the years. I would like to know if you know of reasonable places to buy a scale and one of those jeweler magnifying things? I appreciate your help.

The two 'C' shapes in the Chanel trade mark represent two interlocking spirits, the original meaning is friendship, if there is a circle around it, it is the sign of friendship within a circle of power, meaning a strong friendship (metaphysical).
    More great information, thank you.

Oh good… so I'm not the only one who had to learn the hard way. Thanks Margaret, for these "back-to-basics" tutorials.

Shipping mistakes, not charging enough and having to pay out of pocket. My very first sale of all, on etsy, I ended up paying to give away the item. So embarrassed back then I never told my husband. It was a tapestry purse, clutch, and it sold to Malaysia. My very first ever sale online! The buyer's shipping cost didn't cover shipping, so I had to pony up about $10 besides what they paid. I went home from post office that day and promptly took all my items off international shipping. It took a few months before I added them back to international again. Its a learning curve, for sure. But, I love this gig, and although I still make an oops occasionally on shipping, its usually a few cents, not $$$.
