This 3D option is for the Solaris e-SolarMark laser scanning head that enables the laser to extend the focal distance to mark on products or substrates with varying thicknesses. The reaction time to mark the varying thickness is within milliseconds from one mark to another.
This feature is also good to provide an anneal effect to prepare a contrasting surface on metals and then move the laser beam in focus to etch a barcode or 2D code into the annealed area. The end result is a contrasting barcode with a opaque background that enables linear laser barcode scanners to read the barcode where otherwise this would not have been possible to provide a contrasting barcode on metal surfaces.
This option is only available for static makring applications.
