Silver “Dig It” Novelty…Did We Score Real Silver??

A buddy of mine bought me this novelty toy from Target called, Silver Dig It. Basically, each pack that’s shaped like a silver bar contains one randomly inserted rock/mineral. You have a 1 in 24 chance of that rock being a piece of real silver. Take a gander at this video to see what I got!

I would love to get that for my Grandbabies! My Grandson loves Coins and my Grandaughter loves Stones and Rocks. I love Obsidian. Its a beautiful Stone. Did you say your Freind got it at Wal-Mart for you? How much is this priced for?

Made in China Haha…silver plated at best! Or they're shipped in boxes of 23.

Forget buying one … now I want to make these! I think that would be a fun way to get a kid interested in PMs at the right age, especially if the parent already know there's legit silver inside. Would love to know more about the material and the process involved. Thanks for sharing this!

Kind of like kinder surprise for kids who love gems and minerals. But for their price i'd rather pay slightly more and get a guaranteed real ounce of silver, hide it in the backyard somewhere and send the kid on a REAL treasure hunt.

Couldn't you get a metal detector and tune it just to go off for silver and then find which ones have silver in them?
